- Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) is a biennial herb native to Europe and Asia. It is a popular herb in traditional folk medicine and is still consumed in Japan as a vegetable called 'gobo'. It is rich in vitamin B-6 calcium chlorogenic acid flavonoids iron inulin lactone mucilage polyacetylenes potassium resin tannin and taraxosterol. Burdock root is commony used in combination with Red Clover Yellow Dock and Dandelion.
